HF Strengthens Cybersecurity in the Busan–Ulsan–Gyeongnam Region

- Opens Cybersecurity Training Center with NIS Busan Office, Dong-A University, and Korea East-West Power

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Kyung-Hwan) held an opening ceremony on the 8th for the Busan–Ulsan–Gyeongnam Cybersecurity Training Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Training Center”) at Dong-A University’s Bumin Campus in Seo-gu, Busan, together with the Busan Branch of the National Intelligence Service (NIS), Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-Woo), and Korea East-West Power Co., Ltd. Since signing an MOU last July to establish the Training Center, the participating institutions have worked together to establish a systematic cybersecurity education and training framework and develop professionals with the expertise needed by the local community.

The Training Center will carry out various initiatives, including ▲ operating industry-academia-government cooperation programs to train cybersecurity professionals, ▲ enhancing real-time cyberattack response simulations, ▲ developing educational content based on the latest hacking scenarios, and ▲ collaborating on policy research and hosting seminars to promote the cybersecurity ecosystem.

HF CEO Kim Kyung-Hwan said, “As artificial intelligence (AI) advances, practical capabilities to respond to cyber threats are becoming increasingly important,” adding, “HF will continue to cooperate to ensure that the Busan–Ulsan–Gyeongnam Cybersecurity Training Center contributes to nurturing local talent and raising cybersecurity standards across industries.”
