2024-10-30 HF roots for students to realize their dream HF roots for students to realize their dream - College students provides children with a study guide to foster local talents. The Korea Housing Finance Corporation(HF, CEO Kim Kyung Hwan) said on October 30 that it delivered contribution money to ChildFund Korea(CEO, Hwang Young Ki) to roll out the ‘HF Dream Mentoring*’ program, which fosters local talents in Busan. (A photo attached) * Mentos with experiences and knowledge help mentees with need to develop capabilities and reach their potential. ‘HF Dream Mentoring*’ program is one of HF CSR activities in collaboration with the ChildFund Korea, which selects Busan college students as mentors and elementary & middle school students in local childcare facilities as mentees. Under the program, the mentors provide mentees in need of study support with tutoring and reading sessions, so that they can make a progress in school. In addition, for the college student mentors who want to work in education, the program gives them an opportunity to build a field experience. HF CEO Kim said, “I hope the ‘HF Dream Mentoring Program’, which meets its 4th anniversary this year, can serve as a beacon for hope and dream for young students, who will lead this society in the future. 2024-10-29 HF Freezes Bogeumjari Loan Rate for November HF Freezes Bogeumjari Loan Rate for November - For preferential type, lowest rates would range between 2.95% and 3.25% as per maturity The Korea Housing Finance Corporation(HF, CEO Kim Kyung Hwan) announced on October 29 that it retains the current annual interest rates for November on the Bogeumjari Loans, its long-term, fixed-rate, amortized mortgage loans. ㅇ Accordingly, the interest rates of ‘Akkim-e’ Bogeumjari loans will maintain the range of 3.95 %(10-year maturity) and 4.25%(50-year maturity). ㅇ In addition, low-income young adults, newlywed households and socially disadvantaged groups(households with the disabled or single-parent households) along with the victims of Jeonse frauds can benefit from additional rate discount up to 1.0%p, which sets the final interest rates between 2.95 %(10-year maturity) and 3.25%(50-year maturity). more
2024-09-10 Boguemjari Loans available to victims of rent fraud, allowing them to use residential officetels as collateral Boguemjari Loans available to victims of rent fraud, allowing them to use residential officetels as collateral - Amendments to the Special Act on Jeonse Fraud expand support for rental fraud victims to enhance their housing stability Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Choi Joon-Woo) stated on the 10th that following amendments to the Special Act on Support for Victims of Jeonse Fraud and Housing Stability (“Special Act on Jeonse Fraud”), victims of jeonse fraud* can now use their residential officetels** as collateral for Bogeumjari Loan, HF’s long-term, fixed-rate mortgage with installment repayment options. * Victims of jeonse fraud and tenants as defined in Article 2 Subparagraph 4 of the Special Act on Jeonse Fraud ** Officetels used for residential purposes out of semi-housing units as defined in Article 2 Subparagraph 4 of the Housing Act When victims of rental fraud utilize residential officetels as collateral for the Home Guarantee Loan, the property value must be below KRW 900 million. Borrowers can ▲ access up to 80–100%* of the property’s value, ▲ with a maximum loan limit of KRW 400 million. Additionally, eligible borrowers can benefit from preferential interest rates, currently ranging from a minimum of 2.95% (10 years) to 3.25% (50 years), providing more favorable terms compared to standard Bogeumjari Loans. * For victims of rental fraud who acquire property through court auction, they can borrow up to 100% of the auction price, capped at the court’s initial appraised value. In other cases loans are available for up to 80% of the property’s value. CEO Choi Joon-Woo commented, “Bogeumjari Loans have traditionally been available only for residential properties. As a result, even those recognized as victims of jeonse fraud were unable to use residential officetels, classified as semi-housing, as collateral.
