Interest Rate on Bogeumjari Loans Lowered by 0.15%p

KHFC lowered the interest rate on bogeumjari loans by 0.15%p to help low/middle-income households buy their own homes.

The reduced interest rate will be effective on loans originated from November 17 onwards. Accordingly, depending on maturities, the fixed interest rate on bogeumjari loans will be lowered from 6.30%~6.55% p.a. to 6.15%~6.40% p.a., a drop of 0.15%p. When customers pay the mortgage registration cost and interest rate discount fee, a 0.1% discount is offered for each option and interest rate on bogeumjari loans may be reduced by 0.20%p p.a. at maximum.

With the recent interest reduction, KHFC expects to support the housing welfare of low/middle-income households by increasing the supply of bogeumjari loans, a long-term fixed-rate product, and continuing to help stabilize the housing finance market and improve conditions for households by replacing floating-rate loans, which account for most housing finance loans in Korea.

In addition, in the future, by monitoring the market interest rates and diversifying funding sources, KHFC plans to be flexible in setting interest rates on bogeumjari loans so as to minimize the burden on its customers.
