□  SLBS totalling KRW 404.9 billion issued

 KHFC issued KRW 404.9 billion won in this year's third SLBS (SLBS 2006-3) on October 25.  The underlying assets of the newly issued SLBS are claims to about 134,000 student loans offered through five banks, including NACF, out of total student loans offered to 258,000 students at about 600 universities and graduate schools all around Korea via 15 banks from June 5 through September 22.

 About 124,000 student loans offered by 10 banks, including KB, and not included in the recent issuance will be issued in early November, which is expected to be about KRW 402.5 billion.

 There are eight maturities from one year to 20 years. The rates for one, three, five, 10, and 20 years are 4.65%, 4.73%, 4.86%, 4.94%, and 5.11%, respectively, and the average interest rate is 4.92%.
