KHFC Issues KRW 339.8 Billion in SLBS

  On November 29, KHFC issued KRW339.8 billion in this year's third SLBS.

  The SLBS issued in November carry eight maturities, from one year to 20 years.   The interest rates on those maturing in one, three, five, 10, and 20 years are 5.73%, 6.18%, 6.31%, 6.31%, 6.32% and 6.33%, respectively. SLBS with maturities of five years or more carry call options as a safeguard against early repayment of the underlying student loans.

  With this most recent eighth issuance, KHFC has now issued SLBS to a total value of KRW3.5636 trillion since launching this business in 2005.
