KHFC Engages in Rural Village Care Activities

- Purchases agricultural products and extends helping hands -

About forty members of the Bogeumjari Volunteer Group, a volunteer group at the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC, CEO Seo Jong-dae), visited Chocheon 2-ri village in Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do province, its sisterhood village, on October 16 and helped farmers out during the busy farming season by weeding chili fields and ginseng fields.

Vice President Kim Jae-cheon participated in the volunteer work and said, “KHFC has maintained a relationship with this village for five years, including offering helping hands 2~3 times a year and subsidizing maintenance of community facilities. Going forward, we plan to actively seek practical support to farming households that experience difficulties due to population aging and lack of labor in rural areas.”

KHFC invited the senior citizens of the village to the Yeosu Expo in July this year. It also plans to purchase the specialty of the village and provide it to welfare facilities.
