  ‘Retirees' Finance Academy’ enhances financial literacy among seniors

- The Financial Consumer Agency awarded HF with the grand prize in the category of state-run agencies at the Financial Consumer Protection Awards

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Jae-Chun) announced on the 7th that HF won the grand
prize in the category of state-run agencies at ‘the Financial Consumer Protection Awards’  hosted by the Financial
Consumer Agency <see the image below>.

This prize is awarded to honor an outstanding financial product or service which contributes to the protection
and promotion of the rights of financial consumers. HF was highly recognized for its 'Retirees' Finance Academy,'
which provides customized information to senior citizens and enhances their understanding of financial products
and services through economic and financial literacy education.

As the nation's first economic and financial education program offered by a state-run agency for retired people,
the ‘Retirees' Finance Academy’ provides financial literacy programs in Seoul and Busan and serves as an important
source of financial knowledge and skills integral to seniors' everyday lives, such as income and spending management
and financial planning, and other information on job openings.

An HF official said, “Our ‘Retirees' Finance Academy’ was recognized for helping seniors lead happy and financially
stable lives by offering financial literacy education as part of its Government 3.0 task of comprehensively providing
consumer-oriented, customized services.” He added, “As we are going to roll out this program nationwide,
we will exert our best efforts to provide more people with quality financial education opportunities.”
