Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on December 5, 2018, that it received the President’s Award at the 2018 Korea Volunteer Awards held by the Ministry of Interior and Safety.

To honor those dedicated to helping others and developing our society through volunteering their services and making donations, the Awards selects and celebrates recipients based on their period of volunteer service, how they have improved people’s lives, and what impact they have made on the local community.

The Awards highly recognized HF’s consistent volunteer efforts in improving residential environments for the socially underserved. Led by the Bogeumjari Volunteer Team, its corporate volunteer team, HF has carried out the ▲ ‘HF Urban Regeneration Project’ to upgrade dilapidated villages, ▲ ‘HF Fireflies Project’ to install lighting in areas with security weaknesses, and ▲ ‘HF Dream House’ to renovate housing and community facilities for socially disadvantaged households.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “We are delighted that our social contribution efforts are highly appreciated. We will continue to reach out a helping hand to the underserved neighbors in our community and lead through volunteering and doing good deeds.”

HF also received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the 2018 Korea Sharing Awards last month.
