KHFC donates desktop computers

-  Over 100 PCs bestowed to bridge the information divide for low-income households  -

The Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC) announced on November 22 that it would donate more than 100 desktop computers to households headed by children and nursery study rooms for children from low-income families in an endeavor to narrow the information divide in Korean society.

The donated computers have been used at KHFC and recently replaced with newer models. Upgraded and checked, they are perfectly geared up for use.

“We hope this will provide low-income families with better access to information available online, consequently helping them sharpen their competitiveness,” explained one KHFC official.

Since 2010, KHFC has donated more than 500 computers replaced within the organization to low-income households and people with disabilities to help enhance their informational capabilities.
