Meeting International Standards of Social Responsibility

On October 14, KHFC announced that it had acceded to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), an international convention, to move to the fore of ethical management and social contribution as a quasi-government institution in financial services.

The UNGC is an autonomous organization launched in July 2000 under the UN to encourage businesses to align their business operations with 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption. It has over 5,500 corporate participants and stakeholders from over 130 countries.

By joining the UNGC, KHFC seeks to assume appropriate social roles as a corporate citizen through diverse exchanges with member companies and apply international norms of ethical management and social contribution.
