□ SLBS Totalling KRW 401.7 Billion Issued

 KHFC issued KRW 401.7 billion won in this year's fourth SLBS (SLBS 2006-4) on November 8. With the latest issuance, the supply of SLBS by KHFC totals KRW 1.64 trillion in this year.

  SLBS issued in November were underwritten by 13 institutional investors and have eight maturities ranging from one year to 20 years. Those maturing in one year and three years will be paid back as a lump-sum at maturity. A call option is attached to SLBS with maturities of at least five years. The rates for one, three, five, 10, and 20 year maturities are 4.68%, 4.80%, 4.94%, 5.02%, and 5.14%, respectively, and the average interest rate is 5.00%.

 In addition, medium-term SLBS maturing in five years and seven years account for 41.1% of the total and long-term SLBS maturing after at least ten years represent 29.9%, which satisfies the appetite for medium/long-term bonds on the part of Korean institutional investors.
