HF helps postpartum care of underprivileged mothers


- HF rolls out the ‘HF-I Care Program’ to address the low-fertility crisis.


The Korea Housing Finance Corporation(HF, CEO Choi Joon Woo) announced on 22 August that it donated contribution money to the ChildFund Korea (President Hwang Yeoung-Ki) for the ‘HF-I Care Program;* which provides postpartum care for underprivileged mothers. (Photo Attached) 

  * Refers to the HF CSR program which provides postpartum care services to underprivileged mothers, as parts of the efforts to mitigate low-birthrate crisis in S. Korea.


The program will benefit thirty households of low-income, the disabled, multi-culture family, or a single-mother, listed by the ChildFund. Postpartum nannies from the Busan Dolbom Medical Welfare Social Co-ops (Head Director Ahn Hye-Kyeong) will visit the houses of the mothers with baby product packages and offer the mothers the postpartum care service.   

HF staff said,”The program is initiated to support the local disadvantaged groups and to mitigate low-birth rate crisis in the country, in cooperation with the child-care welfare institution and the social enterprise. We will continue our efforts to foster an environment that is friendly to childbirth and child-rearing. “
