KRW582.6 Billion Extended in Bogeumjari Loan in January

  Sales of bogeumjari loans continued to rise in the new year.

  KHFC announced on February 12 that it had extended such loans to the value of KRW582.6 billion in January 2008. This represented growth of 29.1% over the KRW451.2 billion in December 2007. This is the second highest monthly sales figure after the total of KRW686.4 billion in March 2005.

  The sharp rise in their sales may be attributed to the growing interest of home buyers in long-term, fixed rate mortgage loans given the instability of market interest rates.
