KRW515.3 Billion in Bogeumjari Loans Extended in April

KHFC announced on May 13 that it had extended KRW515.3 billion in bogeumjari loans in April 2008, up 31% from KRW392.9 billion in March and up 110% from KRW244.8 billion in April last year.

Cumulative issuance of bogeumjari loans in the year through April totaled KRW1.9936 trillion, just below the KRW 2 trillion mark.

April issuance was pushed up sharply due to a significant increase in home sales throughout Korea and the increasing preference of home buyers for long-term, fixed rate products.
