KHFC and NPS to sign an MOU to cooperate in senior welfare

The Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC) is joining hands with the National Pension Service (NPS) to expand welfare services for seniors.

Joo-jae Lim, CEO of KHFC, and Hae-chun Park, President of NPS, will sign a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at boosting their CSA (Consulting on Successful Aging) services on July 9, 2009 at the NPS headquarters.

Through the MOU, the two organizations agree to increase human and resource exchange and cooperation for mutual development. They will support the education of customers and employees and conduct joint public relations campaigns to promote their CSA services.

Lim said, "The partnership with NPS, which has over 20 years of expertise in the field, will allow the Jootaekyeonkeum (JTYK) reverse mortgage, launched two years ago, to get closer to the public." He also added, "KHFC will commit itself to strengthening inter-agency cooperation to ensure that both JTYK and NPS pensions serve as a reliable safety net for senior citizens in the nation's rapidly aging society."
