KHFC announces winners of the JTYK Contest

“My dear father” and five other stories awarded

 

On September 30, 2009, the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC, CEO Joo-jae Lim) announced the grand prize winners of the Jootaekyeonkeum (JTYK) reverse mortgage contest organized in commemoration of JTYK’s second year anniversary.

 

Held from August 3, 2009 to September 15, 2009, the contest invited JTYK customers and their families to share their personal experiences with the JTYK reverse mortgage. Ji-yeong Yang (Mapo-gu, Seoul) won the Grand Prize for an inspiring story about her father who took out a JTYK mortgage, and has since been fighting terminal cancer.

 

Excellence Awards went to Joong-hyeon Hong (Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do) for a story entitled “JTYK, a resting place for the old,” and Cheol-gyu Gong (Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do) for “A priceless gift in the twilight years.” Encouragement Awards went to three contestants: Jeong-su Han (Uiwang-si, Gyeonggi-do) for “JTYK, a lifeline in old age,” Gyeong-suk Oh (Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do) for “My pleasure,” and Sang-hee Kim (Jin-gu, Busan) for “Overcoming a shipwreck in the sea of old age.”

 

The winners of the Grand Prize, Excellence Awards, and Encouragement Awards will be awarded a million won, 500,000 won, and 300,000 won, respectively, from KHFC.
