The management and staff of the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC, CEO Seo Jong-dae) visited Chocheon 2-ri village in Eumseong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do province, its sisterhood village, on May 10 and helped farmers out during the busy planting season.

The members of the Bogeumjari Volunteer Group, a volunteer group at KHFC, worked hard to help farmers by planting chili seedlings, setting supports for chili peppers, and weeding strawberry fields and ginseng fields. After participating in the volunteer work, KHFC CEO Seo Jong-dae said, "We plan to engage in various social contribution activities to promote stronger ties between urban and rural areas and symbiotic relationships with local communities." He added that KHFC is planning further volunteer work including assistance for the renovation of community facilities in the second half of this year.
