- HF and Seoul Briquette Bank deliver "Briquettes of Love" to low-income families to celebrate Lunar New Year's Day
The Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Seo Jong-dae) announced on January 18 that it held a ceremony with the social welfare organization Seoul Briquette Bank to deliver "Briquettes of Love" to low-income households.
During the ceremony which took place in Hongjae-dong, Seoul, President Seo Jong-dae and 30 Bogeumjari volunteers delivered 1,000 coal briquettes to families in need.
"There are many poor neighbors who still use briquettes as fuel. I hope this ceremony will help them cope with the cold winter, in however small a way", said President Seo.
Apart from the ceremony, HF delivered a total of 20,000 briquettes as Lunar New Year gifts to low-income households including single-parent families, senior citizens who live alone, and grandparents-grandchildren families.
HF plans to continue providing material support to underprivileged households and to redouble its efforts in other social contribution activities, fulfilling its social responsibility as a public enterprise.
