On November 29, the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC) conducted the “one village of hope per company” volunteer activity for this year, which it has engaged in during the last two years since entering into a “one village of hope per company” agreement with the Korea Energy Foundation, by delivering winter supplies to over 400 households in a split-room village in Namdaemun, Seoul.

Around 30 members of the Bogeumjari Volunteer Corps—KHFC’s volunteering club—delivered briquettes to the split-room village nearby the KHFC headquarters. They also provided 750 vests so that its residents could enjoy a warmer winter.

“Our efforts may not be anything big, but I hope our true intent of heart and sincerity will bring a warmer winter for the village’s residents,” said Director Lee Haedon of KHFC who took part in the volunteer work.

KHFC will continue to make a wide range of social contributions to underprivileged neighbors not fully covered by the social safety net. As part of such endeavors, it will provide sustained support to the split-room village nearby its headquarters to engage with the local community.
