Mr. Seo Jong-dae gives a keynote speech at the Secondary Mortgage Markets: Asia Forum 2013

- The HF CEO introduces the current status of Korea’s secondary mortgage market and the enactment of laws on covered bonds, encouraging investment in Korean covered bonds.

On July 31, with the invitation of the Thai government, CEO Seo Jong-dae of the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF) attended the Secondary Mortgage Markets: Asia Forum 2013—held by the Secondary Mortgage Corporation (SMC) of Thailand—to give a keynote speech.

In his keynote speech entitled “The development of the Korean secondary mortgage market,” he explained how the country’s mortgage market has evolved and how laws and regulations on covered bonds have been devised. [See attached photo]

Designed to share the experience and knowhow of the Japan Housing Finance Agency and other mortgage authorities across Asia, the forum was attended by more than 400 officials from the Thai government as well as central banks and financial institutions across Asia.
