HF Retirees’Finance Academy Offers a Lecture Tour

 - HF Retirees’ Finance Academy offers lectures on finance and other topics in small cities

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Jae-Chun) runs the‘Retirees' Finance Academy at Your Place’program for senior citizens living in small and medium-size cities where financial literacy lectures are less available compared to big cities.

Under the travelling lecture program, launched by HF this year, HF staff visit the elderly in such areas, providing financial knowledge on  ▲ pre-retirement and financial planning, ▲ income and spending management, ▲ asset and debt management, and ▲ inheritance and gifts. HF offers this program to provide personalized services as part of its Government 3.0 initiative.

Any local government or seniors‘ welfare center interested in the program may inquire with HF Headquarters or its branch office in their region to see whether the program is available in their area.

Lee Moon-Yong, a 46-year-old participant at last April's Retirees' Finance Academy at Your Place program, said, “The program gave me the confidence to do anything. From now on, I will spend some time each day planning my post-retirement.”

As part of its efforts to give back to local communities, HF offers various staff-run lecture programs:‘HF Finance Education for the Next Hundred Years,’a finance education program for youth; ‘JaeMitJiYe,’a housing finance literacy program for college students; and‘Korean Language Program for Seniors,’a self-development program for senior citizens.
