HF Holds the 2017 Housing Finance Seminar

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Jae-Chun) stated on August 21, 2017, that it will hold the 2017 Housing Finance Seminar under the theme of“The Present and Future of Housing Finance” at the International Conference Room of the Seoul Chamber of Commerce and Industry on September 6, 2017.  

The seminar will include two presentations on ‘the achievements of JooTaekYeonKeum (JTYK) over the last 10 years and the directions for its future development’ and ‘the amount of MBS issued surpassing 100 trillion won and measures to promote the MBS market.’After the presentations, there will be an open discussion. It is expected that the seminar will be attended by experts and representatives from academic circles, research centers, and financial institutions, who will share their knowledge and views.

Those interested in participating in the seminar can submit an application at the Housing Finance Research Center's webpage (www.hf.go.kr/researcher). Online application is open until September 4 (Monday), 2017. Offline application is also available at the venue on the 6th. The seminar is free to all participants.

An HF official said, “We believe that this seminar will serve as an excellent opportunity to celebrate the JTYK reverse mortgage program, which has grown into a key retirement option, and the contributions made by mortgage-backed securities to improving the nation's household debt structure qualitatively and to seek their future directions.
