HF Transfers Its MBS Know-How to Indonesia 

- HF invites Indonesia's housing finance officials for  training 

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Jae-Chun) announced on August 10, 2017, that it invited personnel from Indonesia's state-run Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF)＊, with which it signed an MOU last August, and Indonesian government officials to share its expertise in housing finance with them.

  ＊ SMF (PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial) is Indonesia's state-run housing finance agency run by the Ministry of Finance. Established in 2005, the agency is in charge of supplying mid- to long-term housing loans and issuing  mortgage-backed securities.

In particular, HF shared with the SMF officials its know-how on mortgage-backed securities (MBS) issuance and market stimulation, building upon last year's MOU between the two agencies to promote further cooperation.

An HF official said, "We will continue our cooperation with the housing finance agencies with which we have signed MOUs and will also broaden our scope of exchange with them through our knowledge sharing program.”

Since 2015, HF has signed MOUs with the housing finance agencies of the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Kazakhstan.
