Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on February 13, 2018, that it has launched the 'HF Project for Job Creation in the Social Economy*' to promote the social economy in Busan. Through the project, HF selected 21 local social enterprises in the city and will provide them with training and consulting services.
  * ‘HF Project for Job Creation in the Social Economy’ is a contest project launched to select local social enterprises and provide them with new hire training and other job training programs as well as financial assistance, thereby promoting job creation and social values in the local community.

HF, jointly with the Research Institute for Social Enterprises (RISE), selected 21 social enterprises in the Busan area on the basis of selection criteria including their reliability and need for support. HF will offer the selected businesses training support and management consulting until the end of June. The training includes new hire training and skill enhancement training.

An HF official stated, "We expect that this project will greatly support job creation and long-term employment, offering a broader range of opportunities for local citizens to become economically and socially active. We will give significant support to help Busan firm up its socio-economic foundation."
