HF Supports Care Services for the Socially Disadvantaged

- The aim of the support is to improve employment stability for care workers, thereby ensuring high-quality care services

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) stated on May 21, 2018, that it signed an MOU with Work Together Foundation (President Song Wol-Joo) for the ‘2018 HF Care Services for the Socially Disadvantaged.'

Under the MOU, HF and the Foundation will select social enterprises or cooperatives that provide care services through open competition. Among their workers, the two agencies will sponsor older workers, career-interrupted female workers, and female workers with multi-cultural backgrounds with at least three years of employment to offer care services to the elderly, new moms, people with disabilities, and other socially disadvantaged groups in the community.

HF Vice President Kim Min-Ho said, “We will take the lead in ensuring job security and a better work environment by providing quality care services to underprivileged groups in deprived areas and offering stable jobs to the workers hired by social enterprises.”

Through the Care Services it launched in 2010, HF has provided jobs to vulnerable groups with low job opportunities, such as women not able to return to the workforce after a career break and older workers, and it has offered support for the elderly, people with disabilities, and other socially disadvantaged groups.
