HF Shares Housing Finance Know-How with Indonesia

- HF offers on-site training to Indonesian government officers and housing finance officials

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on November 22, 2018, that it visited Indonesia's state-run Sarana Multigriya Finansial (SMF)*, with which it signed an MOU in 2016, to transfer its expertise in housing finance to SMF officials and related Indonesian government officers.
  * SMF (PT Sarana Multigriya Finansial) is Indonesia's state-run housing finance agency operated by the Ministry of Finance. Established in 2005, the agency is in charge of supplying mid- to long-term mortgage loans and issuing mortgage-backed securities.

During the on-site training, HF shared its know-how on boosting the state-guaranteed mortgage market, mortgage-backed securities (MBS) issuance, and trust management with the Indonesian officials, fostering exchanges and cooperation between the two nations.

Last year, HF invited SMF officials and related Indonesian government officers for training on MBS issuance and MBS market stimulation. This year again it will invite officials from the housing finance institutions with which it has signed MOUs to share its industry know-how.
