HF Launches 4th HF College Volunteer Corps

- College students join to improve living conditions with their social contribution ideas

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on August 6, 2019, that it held a ceremony at its headquarters in Busan International Finance Center to launch the 4th HF College Volunteer Corps.

The 4th HF College Volunteer Corps group will work with HF’s employee Bogeumjari Volunteer Group for HF-led social contribution programs through December. The programs include ▲ “HF Dream House,” a home renovation program for economically vulnerable groups; ▲ “HF Happy Care Service” for the elderly living alone; and ▲ “HF Senior Literacy Program.” They will also develop and run programs for community revitalization to improve living conditions and address social issues.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “I am really grateful to these college students for taking the time to practice the virtue of sharing despite being busy with their studies and preparing for their future jobs. We hope that this program will help them grow to be responsible citizens who reach out to their underprivileged neighbors.”

Since its launch, HF College Volunteer Corps has developed and run outreach programs, such as ▲ “HF Grandchildren Program” for low-income senior citizens living alone and ▲ “HF Financial Literacy Program for Multicultural Families” for financially-vulnerable foreigners living in Korea.
