HF Taps into Big Data for Insight into Housing Finance

- HF inks MOU with NIA for housing finance solutions customized to different life cycle stages  


Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) revealed on July 27, 2019, that it signed the “Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Promotion of Big Data Utilization in Housing Finance” with the National Information Society Agency (NIA, President Moon Yong-Sik). The MOU aims to seek a next-generation housing finance business model.


Under the MOU, the two pubic agencies plan to conduct research and analyze Big Data on housing finance to meet the needs of customers in different life cycle stages. They will also boost mutual cooperation in various areas, such as jointly working to ▲ link housing finance and information and communications technology (ICT) and ▲ leverage cloud computing and other emerging technologies to improve HF’s public services. 


An HF officer said, “This MOU will give momentum to our efforts to utilize Big Data, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and other new ICT technologies for housing finance. We will continue to provide services that capitalize on the unfolding Fourth Industrial Revolution.”
