HF Awarded for Excellence in Statistical Data Dissemination and Utilization


KOSTAT highly recognizes HF’s contribution in enhancing customer convenience and efficiency 


Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) said on the 7th that it received the award of excellence in the category of national statistical data dissemination and utilization at the 2019 Awards for the Development, Enhancement, Dissemination, and Use of National Statistical Data held by Statistics Korea (KOSTAT). 


With the aim of sharing best practices in, and enhancing the quality of, national statistics, KOSTAT annually calls for applications from institutions engaging in the categories of ▲developing and improving approved national statistics and ▲promoting its dissemination and utilization. In each category, KOSTAT honors notable performances by those institutions with the awards of excellence, distinction, and merit.


HF was highly recognized for its housing finance statistics portal HOUSTAT, giving users access to customized statistical analysis service with no additional software installment and thereby enhancing user convenience and efficiency.


An HF officer said, “This award marks the official recognition of HOUSTAT’s contribution in facilitating our customers’ access to and use of, statistical data. With our HOUSTAT, we will continue to work to ensure an easy and convenient access to housing finance statistics for all Koreans.


In addition, HF ▲added the ‘Housing Finance at a Glance’ feature to HOUSTAT to further improve user convenience, ▲raised public awareness on HOUSTAT by holding promotional events, including the ‘Statistics Portal Naming Contest’ and the ‘Deficiency Finding Contest,’ and ▲ earned the government-certified ‘Web Accessibility Quality Certification Mark*’.

   * A certification mark awarded by an accreditation body designated by the Ministry of Science, ICT & Future Planning to online portals in notable compliance with standard guidelines on web accessibility for the disabled and other digitally low-literate groups
