HF Protects Vulnerable Kids from COVID-19

- It delivers food and protective masks to Busan children in need

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) said on February 27, 2020, that it delivered the HF Box of Hope to the Busan headquarters of Green Umbrella Child Fund Korea (Director Yeo Seung-Soo). The box contained protective kits, food, and other crucial supplies for underprivileged children to help them better cope with COVID-19.

Amid the rapidly evolving COVID-19 crisis, HF decided to spend KRW 20 million for children in poverty or without parental care. The amount, originally allocated for corporate anniversary gifts for its employees, was used in full to support children left without proper meals and protective equipment due to COVID-19.

HF said that this delivery was made for 200 low-income children missing meals and other basic needs, as the global pandemic drove up the prices of vital protective equipment and led child centers to suspend their meal services.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “It is our hope that this delivery will help children stay safe from COVID-19. In addition to this HF Box of Hope, we will do our best to help revitalize the local economy hit by COVID-19 by purchasing local produce coupons and disinfecting orphanages.”
