HF Builds Homes of Love

- HF employees breaking a sweat at a Habitat construction site for people without a home

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) stated on June 18, 2020, that it will carry out the ‘Building Homes of Love’ volunteer project at a Habitat* construction site in Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungnam Province. The project aims to build homes for low-income families without a home. 

   * A collaborative global movement that mobilizes volunteers to design and build adequate housing for financially-disadvantaged homeless families suffering from dilapidated living conditions and extremely high housing costs.     

Thirty Bogeumjari Volunteers, a volunteer group of HF officers and employees, joined Habitat at its wooden house construction site (2020 Habitat Homes of Hopes and Dreams), building and installing wood wall paneling after taking safety training.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “It is very rewarding to see that a house built by HF volunteers and me will become a home sweet home for someone else. We will continue to join efforts to provide homes for our needy neighbors and improve their housing conditions in the future.” 

This year, in addition to this ‘Building Homes of Love’ volunteer project, HF carried out other various social contribution activities, including the ‘HF Dream House’ project for better living conditions for seniors living alone and other vulnerable groups and the ‘Community Building’ project for local community members, to ensure housing stability for low-income households.
