HF Moves Retirees’ Finance Academy Online

- Lecture program to be held online from the 2nd because of social distancing amid the COVID-19 outbreak

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on July 2, 2020, that it will offer its Retirees’ Finance Academy online from the 2nd to help retirees and older citizens build a financially-stable retirement.

In compliance with the COVID-19 social distancing guidelines, HF is switching to online lectures to prevent the potential transmission of the novel coronavirus through offline gatherings. The Academy program offers two lectures: ▲ ‘Aging Society: Extend the Four Aspects of Your Life’ by HF Research Fellow Ryu Gi-Yoon and ▲ ‘Must-Know Lecture on Capital Gains, Inheritance, and Gift Taxes’ by Tax Accountant Jang Bo-Won.

Available on the HF webpage (www.hf.go.kr) and HF YouTube channel free of charge, these online lectures are open to anyone interested in retirement planning.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “We hope that this online Retirees’ Finance Academy program will help soon-to-be retired people prepare for an enjoyable life after retirement. HF will continue to develop diverse education content dedicated to seniors, such as retirement asset management and financial fraud prevention, to fulfill our social responsibility as a public institution.”

Since its launch in 2015, the HF Retirees’ Finance Academy has provided financial education to over 12,000 senior citizens. Highly recognized for its efforts to improve the financial wellness of the elderly, HF received the Grand Prize in the education category at the 2019 Korea Service Grand Prix.
