HF Issues Its First 30-Year MBS 

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on the 7th that it will issue mortgage-backed securities (MBS) with a maturity of 30 years on October 13, 2020. This is HF's first 30-year MBS issue since its foundation in 2004.

HF will issue KRW 10 billion of the super-long MBS through public competitive bidding. The 20-minute issuance will begin at 10:30 am on the 8th via an electronic bid system. 

An HF official stated, “This 30-year MBS is being issued to meet investors' demand for super-long mortgage-backed securities. If this super-long MBS is smoothly absorbed and other market responses are positive, HF will go further to advance and maximize the maturity of housing finance solutions in order to reflect the needs of home buyers for long-term home loans with a reduced monthly repayment burden.“
