HF Receives 15th Korea Social Contribution Award

- Its leading efforts in social contribution and regional development efforts through financial education are honored with the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly’s Prize 

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on the 14th that it won the Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly’s Prize at the Korea Social Contribution Awards held at the Korea Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul, on December 11, 2020. It became the first public financial institution to earn the honor. 

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the Awards, which recognize both organizations and individuals for their outstanding efforts in sharing in various fields and thereby promote the culture of social contribution in the nation. This year’s Awards were hosted by the KSCP and sponsored by the National Assembly, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Ministry of Health and Welfare, and other government ministries and agencies.

Since launching the ‘HF Happy Care Service‘ in 2019, HF has offered personalized care services to marginalized older adults living alone. With its ‘HF Open Campus for Finance and Economics,‘ it provides local talents with on-site vocational training. Along with these efforts, HF has offered a range of social contribution activities and finance lectures for the development of the local community. 

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “It is truly meaningful that our efforts for shared growth with the local community have been recognized externally. We will continue these social contribution efforts to fulfill our corporate social responsibility.“
