HF Celebrated for Its Senior Job Creation Endeavors

- Awarded with the Busan Mayor’s Prize for its leading role in senior job creation

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on the 30th that among the public institutions relocated to Busan, it had the sole honor to be selected as the ‘2020 Outstanding Senior Job Creator’ and receive the Busan Mayor’s Prize.

The City of Busan recognized and awarded two institutions and three individuals that have created and increased jobs for older and elderly citizens in 2020.

This year, HF offered the ‘Senior Community Safeguards’ program for community patrols and vulnerable senior protection services and the ‘HF Happy Care Service’ program that includes daily visits, companion assistance for outings, home organizing, and home repair services for seniors living alone. These unique ‘senior care by seniors‘ programs to give back to the community created some 350 senior-oriented new jobs this year alone.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “We need to create different job opportunities for senior citizens and tap into their experience and wisdom to address the various issues faced by our local community. HF will continue our endeavors to achieve shared growth with the local community and job-based welfare.”
