HF tops in personal data management for 3rd consecutive year   


HF also receives the first-tier ranking on the continuous monitoring of financial data protection


Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Choi Joon Woo) announced on January 13, 2022, that it achieved the highest ranking for the third consecutive year at the ‘2021 Public-Sector Personal Data Management Diagnosis’ hosted by the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC).


The PIPC Diagnosis annually assesses 795 government departments, agencies, and related public organizations in three key areas with 13 indicators. The three key areas are ▲ personal data management system establishment, ▲ personal data protection measures, and ▲ countermeasures against personal data breaches. 

     

HF also received the first-tier ranking on the ‘Continuous Monitoring of Financial Data Protection’ conducted by the Financial Security Institute under the direction of the Financial Services Commission. Covering the nation’s 3,653 financial institutions, this monitoring seeks to systematically assess their personal credit data utilization and management practices.


HF CEO Choi said, “As a public institution operating on public trust, HF sees it as our obligation to protect data. HF will strive to earn more trust by upgrading and reinforcing our data protection system to more proactively safeguard the people’s valuable data and personal information.”
