HF Sets out a Plan for More Financial Inclusion

 

Will continue efforts and care for the disadvantaged in housing, finance and digital environment sectors.

- HF CEO Choi reveled areas of focus in his New Year’s Address


In his 2022 New Year’s Address, Korea Housing Finance Cooperation(HF) CEO Choi Joon Woo emphasized, “HF will continue to pay close attention to the underprivileged who can be easily left out in the ever-changing housing, finance and digital environment and develop products and services for them with a focused priority. “

    

He continued, “Our roles are to support those vulnerable groups whose housing stability was unsettled by rapidly changing economic environment or external shocks to get back on their feet. The implementation of financial inclusion for the socio-economically disadvantaged is what underpins our society as it is and enables sustainable and sound economy.”


“To this end, we will continue to provide tailored support including expansion of non-recourse loans, prepayment fees subsidies, and Jeonse and monthly rent guarantees. In addition, we will explore ways to provide more monthly pay-out of Korean Home Pension to the elderly owning low-priced houses.” He also stressed, “ In the meantime, HF will work to improve the service quality of our products by tapping into our ICT capabilities. We will ensure even those unfamiliar with digital and mobile environment will find our products and services accessible.”


In closing, he said, “Through ESG management, we will renew ourselves as an institute that leads innovation while addressing challenges risen in the increasingly uncertain corporate environment. With innovative and tailored housing financial products and differentiated services, we will strive to better ourselves as an public housing institute and foster new businesses that can be the growth engine of the future.”
