HF, selected as an Institution of Merit for Middle-Aged to Senior Job Creation

 

The one and only to receive the award among public institutions moved to the city.


Korea Housing Finance Cooperation(HF, CEO Choi Joon Woo) announced on December 30 that it was selected as an ‘Institution of Merit in Job Creation for the middle-aged and the elderly in the year of 2021’ by the Busan Metropolitan City government and received an honorary reward. Among public institutions moved to the city, HF is the one and only institution to receive the award.


Busan metropolitan city government selected 4 institutions and 22 individuals that contributed to the job creation for the middle-aged and the elderly in 2021 and recognized their merits. 


In 2021, in collaboration with the city government and local welfare centers, HF operated outreach programs that link jobs with the middle-aged and the elderly of related experiences and expertise.  In particular, HF’s efforts to create tailored jobs for seniors were highly recognized by the city government, with programs that created 380 jobs tailored for seniors, such as “HF Senior Happy Community Building”, where seniors were hired to repair the senior welfare center and check fire safety facilities thereof, “HF Happy Care Service”, under which senior citizens were hired to take care of elderly people living alone with daily living support, housing care, living conveniences, and other personalized services.


HF CEO Choi said, “To address various problems in local society, there are needs to create senior jobs that tap into experiences and knowledge of senior citizens. HF will continue to step up the efforts for mutual prosperity with Busan city and for realization of ‘Welfare through Jobs’.”


In the meantime, HF carried out various CSR projects and supported creation of 768 jobs in total through initiatives such as ‘HF Dream House Project’, which hired craftsmen apprentices for home renovation and repair of houses of socially vulnerable groups, and “HF Bogeumjari Flower Garden”, which hired socio-economically disadvantaged people in Busan to create public garden for the locals.
