On February 6, the Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC) announced that it visited Cheongun Orphanage in Seoul to donate goods and do volunteer work.

Twenty members of the Bogeumjari Volunteer Group of KHFC, including CEO Seo Jong-dae, donated KRW 10 million in goods such as TVs, refrigerators, school supplies, and daily necessities to Cheongun Orphanage and did volunteer work such as cleaning the orphanage and serving meals.

“KHFC has been helping out those in need every year before holidays. We hope we have been of some assistance to the children at Cheongun Orphanage that they may grow up bright and healthy and have resolve to continue their studies,” said CEO Seo.

Earlier on February 5, KHFC executives and members of the Bogeumjari Volunteer Group at the Busan Branch delivered a donation of KRW 10 million to Lee Jong-cheol, the head of the Nam-gu District Office in Busan and served lunch at the nearby Nam-gu Senior Welfare Center. The donation will be distributed to recipients of the national basic livelihood guarantees living in Daeyeon-dong and Munhyeon-dong.

“KHFC branches are visiting welfare facilities in their communities to thank the people working there and do their share of social contribution in preparation for the lunar New Year's Day. Going forward, we will continue to fulfill our social responsibility as a public company in such ways as providing essential goods to those in need,” said an official at KHFC.
