KHFC closes job application for 2011 recruitment

High interest in social equity recruitment

KHFC′s 2011 recruitment received high interest for its commitment to recruit talents from non-metropolitan areas and members of households living on government support or of multi-cultural families as part of its social equity drive.

The Korea Housing Finance Corporation (KHFC, CEO Joo-jae Lim) announced on June 8, 2011 that the result of job applications received from May 23 to June 7 showed a competition rate of 93 to 1 (with 1,670 people applying for 18 positions).

The corporation′s decision to fill 40% of the positions with people graduating from universities in non-metropolitan regions drew a large number of applicants, with the rate of competition in this category reaching 76 to 1, up from the 68 to 1 last year. Twenty people who are members of government-supported households also applied. They will be given 10 percent added points in each step of the screening process.

″The corporation′s drive to fill a certain share of positions with talents from non-metropolitan areas, which was first introduced in 2007, is receiving more and more interest every year,″ said a KHFC official. ″KHFC is taking the lead in hiring talents from non-metropolitan areas and establishing an HR system based on performance.″

After short-listing 360 applicants, KHFC will hold a written test on Saturday, June 18 and organize two interviews. The corporation will hire 18 new employees this year.
