HF donates rice across the nation in celebration of Chuseok

Housing &　Finance (HF, CEO Joo-jae Lim) visited the Goyang Council of Veterans Affairs and Security Organizations in Seongsa-dong, Goyang-si on September 17, 2010 and donated rice for the underprivileged (see photo).

CEO Lim presented one hundred and fifty 10-kilogram sacks of rice during the visit. He said, “It is a great pleasure for us to help less privileged members of the community during the nation's most celebrated holiday season. We will remain true to HF's vision of providing financial assistance suited for different stages of life for all low-income families and stay sensitive to the needs of our under-served neighbors, not just during holiday seasons but throughout the year."

HF's branch offices across the nation also visited over 60 welfare facilities for senior citizens, the disabled, and children from September 13 to 17 and distributed 3,000 sacks of rice, as well as onnuri gift certificates that can be used for shopping at traditional open-air markets. The donated rice and gift certificates are to be given to low-income families, especially seniors living alone or supporting parentless grandchildren.
