□ Government-guaranteed Student Loans for the 1st Semester

 KHFC announced that 256,225 students had been granted government-guaranteed students loans totaling KRW 833.1 billion for the first semester of 2006. The application deadline was March 24.

 This exceeds the initial goal for the number of borrowers (250,000 students) for the first semester, and it represent a 128% increase in the number of beneficiaries from the first semester of 2005, and a 40% increase from the second semester of 2005.
