HF Unveils Invitation to the ‘Retirees’ Finance Academy’ 

- HF helps seniors prepare for retirement with its online financial planning and tax lectures

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Choi Joon-Woo) revealed on December 24, 2021, that it will offer the Retirees’ Online Finance Academy, an HF financial literacy program designed to help people better prepare for a happy, financially secure retirement. 

The program will offer non-face-to-face online lectures by financial planners and tax consultants, including ▲ ‘Financial Planning for Lifetime Happiness’ by lecturer Kim Joo-Shin and ▲ ‘Special Lecture on Must-Know Transfer, Estate, and Gift Tax Laws’ by tax consultant Jang Bo-Won. 

Anyone interested in retirement planning can apply for the free-of-charge Retirees’ Online Finance Academy at the HF homepage (www.hf.go.kr) or watch a live-stream of the event on HF’s YouTube channel. 

HF CEO Choi Joon-Woo commented, “I hope that the Retirees’ Finance Academy will help people build interest in their retirement planning.” He added, “We will continue our financial literacy efforts through various forms of online and offline educational content tailored to the elderly and the financially vulnerable, further fulfilling our corporate responsibility and creating greater social value.” 

Since launching the Academy in 2015, HF has offered financial planning and tax lectures to over 15,000 people so far. Last year, it successfully switched to non-face-to-face online lectures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, earning the 13th Education Mecenat Award from the Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education.
