Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF) is taking the lead in raising the living conditions for disadvantaged segments of society and offering opportunities for construction workers with less on-site experience to build their professional capacity.

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on July 19, 2019, that it signed the “19 HF Dream House* Agreement” with Citizens for Decent Housing (Chairman Lee Young-Shin). The agreement aims at improving the living conditions of low-income households, and its signing ceremony was held at HF Busan Headquarters located in Busan International Finance Center in Munhyeongeumyung-ro, Busan.

On the recommendation of Citizens for Decent Housing and the local autonomous government, HF will select some 100 low-income senior citizens living in substandard housing and offer financial support for renovating their homes, including wallpaper, flooring, and LED lighting, through the end of the year.

The HF program is also expected to create jobs for construction workers with less work experience, helping them build their career paths as construction specialists. The HF Bogeumjari Volunteers will offer their hands for wallpaper, flooring, and other home renovation work during the project.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “We will continue to improve the quality of housing for underprivileged people and create jobs, thus contributing to boosting the local economy.”
