HF Holds the 2019 Housing Finance Conference

An in-depth discussion will be held on the future development directions of housing finance. 

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on June 4, 2019, that it will hold the 2019 Housing Finance Conference to discuss measures to develop housing finance at the headquarters of Busan Bank located in Munhyeongeumyung-ro, Busan, on June 20, 2019. 

This conference will touch on the following topics: ▲ the role of public sector in the reverse mortgage and mortgage market (Sloan Distinguished Professor of Finance Deborah Lucas at MIT's Sloan School of Management), ▲ the establishment of housing finance policies from the perspective of financial stability and integration (Professor Cho Man of KDI School of Public Policy and Management), ▲ recent trends in housing and housing finance policies (Department Manager Huh Yoon-Gyeong, Construction and Economy Research Institute of Korea), and ▲ the diagnosis and future prospects of the housing market in the Busan-Gyeongnam area (Professor Seo Jeong-Yeol of the Graduate School of Real Estate at Youngsan University). 

In addition, the conference will present a panel discussion presided over by Professor Gang Jeong-Gyu of the Graduate School of Real Estate at Dong-Eui University. The discussion will be joined by Kim Gang-Hoi, Head of the Urban Balance and Regeneration Department of Busan Metropolitan City; Lee Ju-Hyeon, CEO of Wolcheon Jaetech; and Bang Song-Hee, HF Researcher, to discuss the pressing issues and prospects of the housing market in 2019.  

The conference is open to anyone and free of charge. Those interested may submit their online application to attend at the Housing Finance Research Center's webpage (www.hf.go.kr/researcher) until June 17, 2019. Offline application is also available at the venue on the 20th.
