HF Holds the Social Value Innovation Forum
- Busan City, Busan-based public organizations, and Busan citizens explore innovative projects for the development of their city
Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) revealed on November 28, 2018, that it held the ‘Social Value Innovation Forum’ jointly with Busan City and six other Busan-based public organizations* at Busan International Finance Center (BIFC).

Organized to unlock greater social value, the Forum was attended by related officials and experts from Busan City, Busan-based public and civic organizations, and Busan citizens. They shared ideas on ▲ public-civic partnership projects, ▲ social value innovation projects that leverage the respective expertise and know-how of Busan-based public organizations, and ▲ the development of the local community through cooperation between the public organizations and the local government.
The event kicked off with the declaration of the Basic Plans of the Social Value Innovation Project, especially on job creation, innovative growth, locally initiated projects, and collaborative cooperation. The declaration was followed by the Forum held on the themes of ▲ creating jobs suited to the needs of Busan, ▲ vitalizing the social economy of Busan, ▲ creating social value through the convergence of energy and finance, and ▲ protecting the socially underprivileged.
An HF official said, “This Forum is a model of cooperation between a local government and public organizations to realize social value. Through collecting various opinions, HF will make efforts to improve the quality of life of Busan citizens and boost the social economy of the city.”
