HF Calls for First Home Buyer Essays
- Essay contest open to Bogeumjari Loan and Didimdol Loan users until September 14
Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) stated on the 17th that it is holding an essay contest for its Bogeumjari Loan and Didimdol Loan users.
The contest is open to any of the HF loan customers. Those interested can submit their essays via mail (Essay Contest Official, State-Sponsored Mortgage Division, 24th Floor, BIFC, 40 Munhyeongeumyung-ro, Nam-gu, Busan) or email (hfcs_abh@hf.go.kr) from August 20 until September 14, 2018.
Participants are encouraged to write up to a three-page essay on the topics of ▲ how they came to buy their first home with either the Bogeumjari Loan or Didimdol Loan or ▲ how they switched to a fixed-rate or lower-rate home loan with the Better Bogeumjari Loan or other HF products.
Based on the criteria of the essays' down-to-earth quality, sympathetic appeal, and originality, HF will select ▲ one Grand Prize winner (a prize of KRW 1 million), ▲ two Excellence Award winners (a prize of KRW 800,000), ▲ three Honorable Mention Award winners (a prize of KRW 500,000), and ▲ ten Participation Award winners (a prize of KRW 200,000). It will also randomly pull the names of 30 participants in a drawing and present them with a gift.

An HF official said, “We are holding this contest to share the stories of how our newlywed or multiple-child customers came to achieve their long-cherished dream of their first home and how our low-income customers came to reduce their interest burden with our Bogeumjari Loan.”
