HF Takes the Lead in Improving the Living Conditions of the Socially Disadvantaged

- ‘HF Dream House’ offers improvements to seniors' housing and new jobs for construction workers

Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Lee Jung-Hwan) announced on June 25, 2018, that signed the '18 HF Dream House Agreement with Citizens for Decent Housing (Chairman Lee Young-Shin).

The ‘HF Dream House’ program is one of HF's social contribution efforts to ensure suitable housing. It aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people living alone and other economically strained low-income households and to offer job opportunities for wallpaper, flooring, and other home renovation workers.

For the program, HF will select some 100 households from the elderly households recommended by Citizens for Decent Housing and the applicable local autonomous government and set aside KRW 200 million for renovating their houses through the end of the year. This year's program is expected to create some 200 jobs for construction specialists. Bogeumjari Volunteers, a volunteer group of HF officers and employees, will assist them in their renovation work, helping them replace wallpaper, flooring, and kitchen sinks.

HF CEO Lee Jung-Hwan said, “We will continue to make our social contribution efforts and create jobs in order to help improve the living conditions of the socially disadvantaged.”
