HF Enhances Educational Opportunities for Disabled College Students
- HF supports tailored IT learning devices to support students from low-income, disabled backgrounds
On the 23rd, Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Kyung-Hwan) announced its donation of KRW 120 million to the Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byung-Joon) in support of the ‘Support Program for the Independence & Growth of Disabled College Students’<see the image below>.
This contribution will benefit 300 college students with disabilities from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, as selected by the Community Chest of Korea. The donation includes a variety of specialized learning assistance IT devices, such as ▲ braille input/output devices (for visually impaired students), ▲ wireless head mice (for physically disabled students), and ▲ voice-to-text converters and bone conduction hearing aids (for students with hearing impairments).
HF CEO Kim Kyung-Hwan commented, “We hope this initiative will provide disabled students with the support they need to continue their academic pursuits with greater stability. HF is committed to empowering these young people, helping them achieve their dreams, and enabling them to contribute to the advancement of society.”
