HF Holds '2016 Housing Finance Forum' to Explore Household Debt Issues

□ Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HF, CEO Kim Jae-Chun) stated on the 29th that it will hold the ‘2016 Housing Finance Forum’ jointly with the Financial Services Commission at the Bankers' Club in Seoul on September 8, 2016.
 
□ Under the theme ‘Household Debt: Key Issues and Policy Tasks,’ this forum will consist of two presentation sessions on ▲ the current status and key issues of the nation's household indebtedness and ▲ household debt and financial consumers, followed by a panel discussion. It will bring together government officials and experts from academic and research institutions, providing a platform for them to share opinions.
 
□ Those who wish to participate can register online at the HF homepage (www.hf.go.kr) by September 5, 2016 (Monday), or on-site on the date of the forum. It is open to the public free-of-charge.
 
□ An HF official said, “This forum will bring seasoned experts from the government and academic and research communities together to come up with desirable policy measures to tackle the rising household debt, a major policy concern facing the nation. I hope that many people take an active interest and participate in the forum.”
